South Circular Road Works Phase 1 & Phase 2

Phase 1 compromises the enabling works to the existing footpath as highlighted indicatively in "Figure 1" attached.

Phase 1 works are summarised as:

    • Relocate walking way and install Heras fencing.
    • Removal of existing footpath
    • Removal of existing kerbing
    • Excavation
        ◦ Removal of existing gullies
        ◦ Removal of existing main water lines
        ◦ Removal of existing gas lines
        ◦ Installation of new services
        ◦ Reduce level to formation road, footpath, cycling line.
    • Construction of new
        ◦ Kerb lines 
        ◦ Concrete flags
        ◦ Chambers
        ◦ Utilities (Eircom, CCTV, ESB, Storm)
        ◦ Installation of new watermains
        ◦ Sub base, Basecourse, Surface course 
        ◦ Diversion of existing services
        ◦ Traffic lights and ducting installation
    • Install new sign poste
    • Install new CCTV, pole traffic signal
    • Install Tree cells
    • Traffic management
    • Confined space works

Phase 2 compromises the enabling works to the existing footpath as highlighted in red and in the road highlighted in green, indicatively in "Figure 2" attached.

Phase 2 works are summarised as:

    • Relocate walking way, replace fence.
    • Removal of existing footpath
    • Removal of existing kerbing
    • Excavation
        ◦ Installation of new services
        ◦ Reduce level to formation road, footpath, cycling line.
    • Construction of new
        ◦ Kerb lines 
        ◦ Chambers
        ◦ Concrete footpath
        ◦ Utilities (Eircom, CCTV, ESB, Storm)
        ◦ Traffic lights and ducting installation
        ◦ Sub base, Basecourse, Surface course 
    • Install new sign post
    • Install new CCTV, pole traffic signal
    • Traffic management
