Kendra CE Ltd. operating as the major civil engineering contractor to Collen Construction carried out new access & service road construction at the above location in Kildare Town. The works also required realignments and lane splitting at the entrance to the retail park from the M7 area and R415.

The works involved widening the roads and dropping and locating/ diverting/protecting existing utilities services in former footpath areas to be now incorporated in the new traffic lanes.
These roads provide access for voluminous vehicular traffic and truck delivery services to the project which has doubled the size .

The site was heavily congested by the presence of existing utilities and by the provision of new services installed as part of the project. In particular, a lot of care was required to be exercised due to the presence of power and telecommunication feeds to the complex.The works, carried out by Kendra, required substantial “out of hours” and weekend works to facilitate the access to the units which were already busily trading whilst the new project was underway and which had to be seamlessly integrated with the existing setup.

These works included new drainage layout to control discharge from the paved car park areas. Approx 1.5 KM of new road and large transport areas were constructed at a cost of €1.2M
